Hi All,

This is the first time that I tried to use the “Advanced Filter: Refresh list when this field changes:” option on a list field and I’m not sure that I’m using it correctly.

I have 2 editors:

Source - a multi record editor called “resource_categories” with a text field called “category”

Target - a multi record editor called “resource_listings” with a single value pull down list field called category_types”

For my MySQL query in the category_types” list field I’m using:

SELECT num,category
FROM <?php echo $TABLE_PREFIX ?>resource_categories

When I select “category_types” from the “Advanced Filter: Refresh list when this field changes:” pull down menu, I can change any of the source records and the changes are automatically reflected it the “target” editor’s “category_types” field.

PROBLEM - CAN'T ADD RECORDS OR CHANGE CATEGORIES
With the "category_types" selected from the Advanced Filter pull down, I can't add new records to the “resource_listings” editor.
When I try, the “category_types” field will not allow me to select a “category” and I get a blank “error”.
I get the same result when I try to change a "category_type" in an existing record.

When I again choose “select field” from the “Advanced Filter: Refresh list when this field changes:” pull down menu, I can add records, or change category_types but (obviously) nothing gets automatically updated.

I tried this in both 2.10 and 2.09

Any ideas?

Thanks,
