Record not found! details page

I have an events page set up and working fine with events.php and events-detail.php

I just hid all events and went to events-detail.php and also events-detail.php?test-event-2-3 which was hidden.
This page is all white and says "Record not found!"

I realize I wont be linking directly to a details page in my nav menu and that normally, customers wont be going directly to that page. Still, there is a chance that someone bookmarked a link.

Anyway, i would just prefer if the whole page loaded just like going to events.php when there are no events. you see the page with graphics and a navigation bar and "Record not found!" on it.

Is this possible or how should i handle this?
