Easy Space: Error on Set-up

Hello, All -

I've run into my first (ever) server error!

I've just installed a vanilla version of 2.12 on an Easy Space package and an error message is now stuck to the top of the CMS admin backend:

Strict Standards: Only variables should be passed by reference in /vhost/vhost9/e/x/t/domain.com/www/cms/lib/init.php on line 175

The server info is as follows:

Operating System: Linux 2.6.18-274.3.1.el5PAE
Web Server: Apache/2.2.3
Database Server: MySQL v5.0.77 (Max Connections: 10)
PHP Version: PHP v5.3.8

..which all seems dandy.

Any clues?
