DragSortOrder not working in Section Editor root

Happy New Year to all!

Sorry to start the year with a problem.

In the Section Editor root, the DragSortOrder is not working. (It works fine in each section I create, though).

I am creating a Menu Group and attempting to group sections under this group but nothing is moving.

How do I rectify this?

Hi Terry,

Do you receive an error when trying to move a section? Does the section appear to move at first, but then reverts back, or does it never move?

There is no error. The DragSortOrder icon is there but not active.

What was the problem with this particular issue?
Suddenly, my drag sort order is not working either...
Any ideas?

That one turned out to be a "phantom" error that we couldn't reproduce. It kind of disappeared. Could you give some more information about your error and send in a [url http://www.interactivetools.com/support]2nd Level Support[/url] Request.

Yeah - I tried replacing parts of the install - but nothing.
No swapping.

Hi,

I took a look. It looks like the file cmsAdmin/lib/admin_functions.js had been changed. There was quite a lot of the file missing, which explains why the drag sort wasn't working. I replaced with with a new copy of the file, and everything seems to be working now.

I upgraded to 2.17 the other day and shortly thereafter noticed that I had a problem with drag sort in the Section Editor List. What is so strange is that I discovered that it only had a problem using Firefox 12.0. Went to other workstations that are running 13.0 and all works fine. Also tested in Chrome, Safari, IE, and Opera .... all fine.

I went back to the machine using Firefox 12.0 and tried again and lo and behold, it now works! Explain that!
