Hi, I need to upgrade to the latest version on a large site, I am nervous about doing this and have a few questions first. Do I need to buy a new license for the latest version and do I need new files to make it upgrade? Also can I do it as a test first so it doesn't affect the live site that is using the 1.31 version.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Hi,
No problem.
First, you don't need to buy a new license, you just need to purchase an upgrade. All upgrades are done by donation here:
http://www.interactivetools.com/upgrade/
Once you process this, you will receive a link to download the latest version. Inside the folder, there are instructions on how to upgrade.
Before you upgrade, you should make a COMPLETE backup of your site (files and data). That way you can always revert back to your older version if something goes wrong (this very rarely happens).
You license does allow for you to have a staging copy of your site for testing. So if you like, you can set up a test installation of your current CMS version, and then upgrade that. If everything goes to plan, you can then upgrade your live version.
Hope this helps. Please let us know if you have any questions.
