When I try to install CMS Builder I get the following error:

-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Access denied for user 'cms'@'localhost' (using password: YES)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------

I have entered the correct password for the "user" of the database. What is going on?

Thanks for your time.

Hi JamesKB,

Just a guess...

Could it be the permissions actually granted to the db user?

They need to be administrator (dba) level permissions.

Have you tried to reinstall? redownload and install?

Have you ever installed on a remote server?

ISSUE SOLVED!! I found the bug! He is sitting in front of the monitor! [;)] I was not entering the complete db and db user names. [:P] Once I did that all is working as it should. Thanks for your time.

Glad you got it sorted out.
