Multi-Level Categories as Navigation:
How deep can you actually go with multi-level categories in a navigation?

Is it possible to go 4 category levels deep in a navigation with CMSB?

See the example below, or the attached images for a better example of what I'm trying to achieve.

If it is possible, can someone point me to a thread that covers 4 levels deep, or at least 3 levels deep. I've search the forum, but I'm just not having any luck finding a definitive solution... I'm sure I may have over looked it while searching. Maybe I just need to get out of the office and get some rest. Thanks for any light someone can shed on this.
Cheers, Zickey

Hi,

CMS Builder will let you create as many levels down as you like. The code used to output the <ul>/<li> tags shouldn't need to change, regardless of how many levels are present. The only tick I can see is finding a drop down menu script that will support what you need. I've used a script called "Smooth Navigational Menu" before with good results. The demo they show shows categories going 4 levels down:

Hope this helps get you started.

Yes, I have been using ddsmoothmenu since Jason turned me on to it some time ago and have taken it to 5 levels. It is infinite as far as I can tell. I created the schema for the menu data, the navigation PHP code, the CSS and ddmenu files into a package that I can install on a CMSB site in under 10 minutes. I use it often, both horizontal and vertical versions and on one occasion, both on the same page.
