Having problems uploading images

I'm having problems uploading images with a CMS that I recently installed. I checked the directory and folder and it appears correct. When I select the file and click upload, the progress bar shows an upload in progress, but when it's complete, no file appears in the upload section, nor does any file appear in the uploads folder via ftp. I also made sure the uploads folder is permission 777. What could be the problem?

Hi Meg,

Any more specifics that you can add?

Do the uploads appear in the record?

Is this a new, clean install or a transfer of an installation to a new server?

What version of CMSB?

Have you tried re-uploading the CMSB installation files (backup your database first), clearing your cache?

what do you mean, "nor does any file appear in the uploads folder via ftp"?

Thanks,

The uploads don't appear in the record nor on the server in the uploads folder. I reinstalled the CMS files over the weekend and checked the permissions, but I'm still experiencing the same problem. Any suggestions?

Hi,

Does this happen with any image, or just certain images? Can you provide an example image where this problem occurs?

Thanks

Hi Meg,

Can we get some answers to the other questions that I posed.

They may offer some clues.

It would be good if we could solve this without needing to put it on Jason's already full plate.

Also, do you have any other CMSB installations on the same server?

Yes, it's a clean install, and a reinstall (over the weekend) of version 2.14.

Hi,

If you could fill out a 2nd Level Support request and provide an example image that doesn't work, we can look into this further.

Thanks

Update: upload issue has been resolved.

This is a issue specific to Network Solutions that prevented the upload functions file from being uploaded via FTP and run.

In CMS Builder version 2.15 we added whitespace to uploadForm_functions.php to avoid a Network Solutions uploading issue and that fixes it.

If you have an upload issue with a site hosting with Network Solutions and are also using a version of CMS Builder older than 2.15, upgrade to resolve the issue:
