Hi Volodymyr,

Thanks for your message. Yes, this thread needs updating. The next release has category drag sorting (a long requested feature) and we have a number of other future features in development including large upload support (up to a gig or more), image gallery support, more code generators, and additional products and plugins.

I'll make a note to update this thread soon and collate all the current feature requests and roadmap.

Hi Dave,

Any way to make the "Year Range" fields in date fields global entries in the Admin > General tab so we can change all the year range fields site wide with a single admin entry? (Possibly leaving the original fields so that developers can override the global values for specific situations?)

Or maybe another plugin?

Right now I feel that many of us are on a collision course with our client's sites that will be a bear to resolve one section and one field at a time.

Thanks,

Jerry Kornbluth

Hi Jerry,

The default values allow for a 10 year window, so there should be some time, but probably what we'll do is just make a plugin that lets you set them all forward.

We may very well have a new field editor before we get close to that window. Or maybe a better fix would to have an option to set only the start year and not the end year.

Just a start year sounds interesting.

Any other comments?

Not really. :) Your year end range is still many years away right?

Yes it is, but it's a good thing not to let this get dropped off the radar.

BTW: I was hoping for comments from other users.

Yea, maybe we could have it so if the end year is blank it defaults to the current year. Or we could support +1 for one year ahead, etc.

Hi Jerry,

We have a new beta coming out today and I added this feature in for you. The field editor now says this:

Year Range [__] to [__] Leave blank for 5 years before and after current year

And it now defaults to having those as blank. However, in the situation that the database content has a year outside that range then it will show that year as well.

Hope that helps!
