How to delete all records in a section instead of one-by-one?

Okay, group...I am stumped how to do this within CMSB and also stunned it's never come up before in the forums (at least for what I searched in the forums):

Right now a client wants to delete all records in a section (there's a couple hundred) and doesn't want to do one-by-one. On most systems you click the "check all" box and would then choose "erase" or "delete". BUT, in CMSB you can check the top box on a column to select all records in a section (or on a page) but no mass delete or erase.

Is there a way?

Hi,

As far as I know, this is only available to users logged in as admins...

After you've checked the "check all" check box, at the bottom under the "advanced commands" pull down, there's an "erase selected" option.

Choose that, and click GO

If you don't want to give the client admin privileges, there's also a plugin that can be used to reset all values of a specific check box field to 1 or 0, which I think can be used to change the values of the special "hidden" field.

This wouldn't delete the records, but it would hide them from the site. There's also possibly a way, based on the show-hide fields from users plugin that you could use to to hide those records from any non-admin users.

Best,
