defaulting a date field to today's date

Hi Jeff,

If you go to Section Editors menu, then click modify on the section that contains the date field, then click modify on the date field. You should see a drop down menu called 'Default Value', if you select 'Current Date' from the drop down, after today's date should be added to the field automatically when creating a record in the admin area.
