Hi equinox,
Programmers can be a little wacky when it comes to numbers. The PHP team actually thinks of those as three different whole numbers of descending importance, so PHP 5.2.17 is actually 13 releases newer than PHP 5.2.4.
So you're good.
Hope that helps! :)

Awww Duuuuuddddeee!!!! I am simply ignorant. You, and your team, have an amazing amount of patience and understanding. While I'm still "young" at this kind of programming, you know full well I've been around web site building and Internet business for years...and I still understood PhP version incrementing incorrectly. Thank you, yet again, for teaching an old dog a not so young trick.
And thank you for the great support you and your team consistently provide. That includes Ross, who patiently waits for my clients to make up their minds for some custom programming. That gentleman of yours is always quick to respond, and has been solid at clarifying details for me and my clients.
Cheers!
