A client's server was hacked last week, and the hosting package had to reset some server settings. I got the CMS working again and I'm in the process of reconnecting it to the pages. I'm noticing in a couple of sections that the character "Â" is randomly appearing from displayed content from the CMS. One area is from a WYSIWYG, but I checked the HTML and there's no sign of that character. The other is from a textbox. Any thoughts? This is so strange...

Hi meg,

Could be the character set being accessed.

This is the one that's normally generated by CMSB at the top of the viewer code <?php header('Content-type: text/html; charset=utf-8'); ?>

If the site was hacked, here might be something in an .htaccess file as well, along with some other goodies left by the hacker in that file.

Good luck,
