Hello,
I would like to be able to use a 3rd party SMTP service for sending mail as this will give me better insight into information such as delivery rate.
Is this something that can be achieved relatively easily with just a new array somewhere with the SMTP port number, server and login details?
Having the option to choose between SMTP and sendmail (if that's what is currently used) would be really great.
Regards,
Greg

Hi Greg,
This feature was released in version 2.52 of CMS Builder: http://www.interactivetools.com/forum/forum-posts.php?postNum=2229902#post2229902
If you go to the General Settings menu in CMS Builder you should see an e-mail settings area where you can enter your SMTP servers details, and choose which method CMS Builder will use to send mail.
Let me know if you have any questions about the set up process.
Thanks!
Greg

Hi Greg,
That's excellent to hear. I need to upgrade!
So then I guess if I choose to send mail using SMTP then ALL emails will be sent using SMTP, is that right?
For example, template and system emails will be using SMTP too and not just newsletters sent using the Newsletter plugin.
Regards,
Greg

Hi Greg,
That is correct, if you set up CMSB to send mail via SMTP all CMSB mail will be sent using that method.
Cheers
