Search Result Links from multi search

Hello,
I just recently implemented a site search utilizing the searchMultipleTables function.
For standard list page output, using the "link" variable will output the viewer page URL with any additional fields that have been added and the record number for a "friendlier" URL. On the search results listings, only the viewer page URL and record number are output. While this certainly still works, I was hoping to keep the same link structure to avoid the "duplicate content" possibility with search engines.
Is there a "trick" to achieve this?
Thank you in advance.
Regards,
Steve

Hi Steve,
Unfortunately there isn't a way this can be done without heavy modification of the current code. The multi search is really an experimental feature, and we're hoping to upgrade it soon.
You should find that search engines won't index links from the search page results, as the only way that links from it would be displayed is if a search was carried out first, and although bots will follow links on the page, they will not submit forms.
Thanks!

Hi Greg,
Thanks for the quick response. Okay, that being said I'm not worried. As you said, the search would need to be carried out and I'm not using any "quick pick preset queries" of standard links passing variables that an engine could follow.
Cheers,
Steve
