Hi
Can anyone tell me if I can achieve the following
In the uploads section I have the Uploads Details pop up. In this I have added 3 more description fields. These are just text fields
When I go to
Advanced Options in the section edit or the Uploads section and I only have the option for a text field.
What i would like is when someone uploads a photo i would like a Text Box or a WYSIWYG box. A Text box will do. But all i am getting is a text field.
Is there a way i can change this please?
I just want people to give a description with each photo, and may need a large chunk of text.
I have attached a screenshot of the upload details pop up i would like to have the text boxes
thanks
Hi Loccom,
If I'm understanding what you're asking, you can't change the "info" fields in an upload field from a text field to a text box.
The way I approach descriptions is to create a separate text box field and use that for description of the upload.
Then I echo the description field in my viewer to insert the description on the web page.
When you're creating a new field you can choose the type of field from the Field Types pulldown list. You can also change a field from a text field to a text box by clicking on "Modify" next to the field you want to change in the field list of your editor. You won't lose any data but you might change how the formatting appears.
There are lots of basic design tips and many advanced recipes, including some on automatically wrapping descriptive text around images, in in my CMSB Cookbook at http://www.thecmsbcookbook.com
Hope that helps,

Hi loccom
Thanks for posting!
Textboxes or WYSIWYG editor fields in the image upload popup would take some modification of the code itself so I think Jerry's idea is the direction you'll want to go for this. Let us know what you think about creating the textbox as a field in the editor instead of the upload :).
Thanks!
