Hi
I've almost completed my site, uploading images, etc, and today I get a message that "Upload directory '/cmsAdmin/uploads/custom/' doesn't exist".
I have checked the General Settings
Upload Directory /cmsAdmin/uploads/
Upload Folder URL /cmsAdmin/uploads/
And I check the ftp server and the cmsAdmin/uploads directory is definitely there.
I am at a loss of what to do... and I really don't want to have to start uploading images all over again!
Any ideas?
Thanks
Carole

Hi Carole,
You indicated that you definitely have the cmsAdmin/uploads/ folder on the server, but is there a /cmsAdmin/uploads/custom/ on the server?
Did you add a new upload field or change an existing upload field to use a custom upload folder?
Let me know.

Hi Damon
No, there is no /cmsAdmin/uploads/custom/ on the server.
Everything was working fine until I manually added cmsAdmin/uploads/ in the settings as I was having an issue with my galleries (see post below) which resolved this problem, but its appeared to stuff up everything else.

in the generated code for the img srcs, it is showing "//uploads/...", when it should say "/cmsAdmin/uploads/..."
I believe this is the result of incorrect setting in your cms.
If you go to Admin > General Settings, what do you have in the boxes for Upload Directory and for Upload folder URL?

Hi Carole
Just got your support request and think I have the solution so I wanted to update this thread for anyone else following along. Basically, I feel like the issue is going to be that the Upload Directory field needed to be a full server path instead of a relative one. I tested the theory on your server and it seemed to work for me.
Anyone else having an issue with "upload directory doesn't exist", make sure you ahve a full server path in the Upload Directory field :).
Thanks!
