Geocoder detect site visitor's geo location

It may be possible to use a Geocoder function but the problem is the site visitor isn't providing an address to lookup. That leave an IP address which can looked up but won't be very accurate (ISP can be located in a different city than user).

Maybe a good option would be using Google Maps API directly. Take a look at this article:

I tried out the example here and it was accurate within one street block with me entering nothing but just agreeing to allow sharing location:
