Google Maps API Geocoder Limit

Hi,

I am running the table geocoder option due to the large number of entries we have in the database however I keep getting an error message advising

"The Google Maps API geocoder query limit for this IP address has been reached.

You wont be able to geocode any more addresses until Google lifts their ban on your IP.

Please try again in 24 hours.

Am I missing something here, should I be opening an account with Google to stop this happening as at this rate it will take days to update the databases.

Hi willydoit,

The google geocoder API has a limit of 2500 requests per day, which is why you're getting this error. How many records do have you to geocode?

Unfortunately the geocoder plugin doesn't support the Google maps business API, which increases the number of requests up to 100,000 per day. But it would be fairly simple for us to integrate this feature into a custom version of the geocoder plugin if you need. If you send an e-mail to consulting@interactivetools.com, we can give you an estimate for integrating it.
