Error message started appearing after two years!

Hi, All.
This error message has started appearing when my client tries to upload images, but has been working fine for the past two years until now. Any ideas why, please?

Hi CommonSenseDesign,
It may be that your host changed or "upgraded" something. I'd check that the hard disk on the server isn't full (it might list that at the bottom of Admin > General Settings) and then if that isn't the issue go examine that file in FTP and see if it has different permissions and try setting it's permissions to 777.
