Hello,
I have built a site, it allows the client to access and to update content. All in all thought I have my worries about the client and would prefer him  not to have the options of the "advanced commands"

How can I have it so those I have applied to be editors do not have access to "erase" in the "advanced options", I also want to hide the "erase" under Actions.

regards

Kenny

pw: I do think this would be a great option to have in future builds of the cms.

Hi Kenny,

Good news!  This feature already exists.

Go to Admin > Section Editors  the click the "modify" link for the Section Editor that you want  to remove the erase options for.
One the following page, click the "Advanced" tab link.

Here you can check the "Disable Erase" checkbox "Don't allow removing records".

This removes the erase link in the action menu along "Erase selected" in the Advanced Commands dropdown.
Hope this helps. Let me know if me steps make sense and/or if you have any other questions.

Thanks!

Hi Kenny,

That works, It would have been great to have it also as an access level thus have it always visible to Admin but not to Editors.

Yes, that makes sense. I will pass along that as a feature request.

Right now, if you need to delete some records and have the erase option disabled, you would need to enable the erase option, delete the records and then disable the erase option again.

Thanks!
