Greetings all ...
I had a server crash this week. One of the domains had CMSB running on it. As I had been making regular backups of the MySQL data associated with CMSB, I figured moving the site to another server would be fairly easy.
What I didn't know at the time was that there are .ini.php files placed in the /cmsAdmin/data/schema folder, one for each page managed by CMSB. I had not backed these up.
Luckily, there were only about ten pages being managed, and the content was contained in the MySQL backup, so manually reconstructing the pages was a snap. Had I made backups of the .ini.php files, it would have been a slam dunk.
But I have other sites running CMSB that contain more than 70+ pages each.. You can bet that I have gone through all of my CMSB sites and backed up those .ini.php files and am backing them up weekly.
It was a wake up call for me and I wanted to pass it along to you.

Hi Dave,
Thanks for your feedback! The most important items to backup on your server for a CMS Builder installation are:
- The database - This can be done automatically with the automatic backup plugin: http://www.interactivetools.com/add-ons/auto-backup/.
- The schema files - These can be found in your cmsb/data/schema/ directory.
- The settings file - These contain your CMS builders settings (DB connection details, file paths, etc), they can be found in /cmsb/data and end in .dat.php, the main settings file will be called settings.dat.php.
If you have these files it should be possible to reconstruct any CMS Builder installation. We recommend that you backup both your database and all site files on a regular basis to make restoring a site as simple as possible
Thanks!
