Hi All,

We're planning to release our forum plugin soon, and we've upgraded this forum as part of our testing. Here is a breakdown of the new features:

  • A Complete redesign. The forum now uses Bootstrap 3, which is responsive.
  • Refactoring PHP code.
  • Users can follow entire forums as well as threads.
  • You can make users admins for particular threads.
  • A setting that allows all admins to be emailed whenever a new post is created.
  • A setting in the plugin to enable / disable signatures quickly.
  • The original file name is displayed for files attached to posts.

Please let us know any feedback or suggestions you might have for our forum or a forum plugin.

Thanks!!

Greg

Can we get a "Mark all as read" or similar?  Maybe even a check-box selection to quickly mark a bunch of items?

Can't wait for this. Is there a more firm ETA on when it will arrive?

The new cleaner styling is so much better!

It would be great to have features like the ability to tag members, and members being able to upload links to videos on say you tube or vimeo and they would be embedded in the post

Any ETA for the forum to be available?  I would like to begin offering it to my clients ASAP.

Hi,

We are just doing final review and testing of the forum plugin. Expect to release it near the end of next week.

We will post an update to this thread when it is ready. Thanks!

I, too, am very interested in this - we have a prospect right now that wants a forum, so I told my partner I'd check the status. Any updates would be great!!

I would love to start implementing this for my clients websites. I currently use proboards however so users are used to being able to tag members and embed video links from sites such as youtube.

If the forum software can't do this out of the box, is it possible to upgrade the forum so that it could, and if so how hard would it be?
