Modify system fields createdDate and updatedDate

Hi,

can we somehow edit/modify the system fields createdDate and updatedDate without editing the MySQL database?

What aspect of the createdDate and updatedDate are you looking to modify? Is it the content of the fields, or the names of the fields themselves?
