Hi,
we currently have a third party calendar on our website which can produce a RSS file. We are then adding the same information into a CMSB table as well to social media sites which makes it very time consuming. As such I am looking at ways to minimise the workload by automating elements where possible. To this end I would like to know if it is possible to have a CMSB table populate from an RSS feed?
Thanks in advance

Hi there
Thanks for posting.
There are different options for importing RSS into CMS Builder and it's something that we typically setup via consulting as it's a fairly advanced idea.
The basic idea is to use a script that parses RSS, then use some additional PHP that inserts each record into your database.
The first two scripts RSS parsing scripts I recommend having a look at are:
http://magpierss.sourceforge.net/
For the second part, all you need is the basic PHP for inserting records into your database. CMS Builder has some great functions to help with that once you get there.
Does this seem like something you'd like to work on? Or would you like to move the conversation over to consulting?
Let me know any questions.
Thanks.
