Help requested re remove date

Hi,

I am creating a news page and have a remove date field, I would like it to default to the current date plus say 8 weeks but have no idea as to what syntax is expected in the field editor.

From the research I have done the facility doesn't seem to be without problems. I am in the UK using UK time and date format. The facility isnt critical , I just want to try to make input of data as simple as possible by providing a pre calculated remove date.

If anyone can help by advising what I should be putting in the field editor to accomplish this ot would be appreciated.
