text area for upload description

Hi

Is there a way to increase the size (amount of text) which can go in the upload description box?  At the moment it allows for what looks like 200 characters - can this be increased, and how?

Hi Deborah

I've tried both options suggested in the thread you provided, however, neither work.  I get an error of "MySQL Error: Data too long for column 'info1' at row 1"

Would you have any other suggestions?

Hi degreesnorth, 

If you're getting that error you can increase the size of the column.  Edit the upload table here: 
admin.php?menu=database&action=editField&tableName=cms_uploads&fieldname=info4&

And then edit the info1, etc fields, and change "MySQL Column Type" (at the bottom) to "Auto"
