Restricting writer access after publish

Is it possible to restrict a writer from editing or deleting a record only if that record has been published? I can see that it's possible to restrict editing, but there doesn't seem to be an option to select flags for that restriction.

Hi Kevin,
Here is one way to restrict a writer from editing or deleting a record.
1. Setup the user with Author access for the specific section editor. Authors can only access records they have created.
2. After the user has written content, a user that has editor access for the specific section editor can edit the record to change the Created by user at the very top. Once the record is saved as Created by another user (editor), the original Author user will no longer have access to see, edit or delete that record.
