Ki moh3,

When you create an upload field, there's under upload settings there's a field called File extensions allowed in the input validation area.

Just put in the file name extensions that you want, separated by commas and no periods.

There's a small issue with certain file types right now, but is should be fixed shortly. (See the post about CMSB-v3.50-Released---FREE-VERSION at the top of the forum topics)

You might want to take advantage of the free 3 month trial of my CMSB Cookbook.

Hope that helps,

Dear I was referring to the text and other fields where there is an option for limiting certain chars But can't find the correct syntax

If you are using a text field in a section editor to enter the data, there's an allowed character criteria that you can set up to restrict the characters that are acceptable.

That ability does not exist for a text box.

However if you are using a front end form to enter the data you can set up many restrictions.

here's an example.

There are also many validation criteria that you can use.

Do a Google search for things like

restricting characters entered into an html form

validating html form field entry

What exactly is it you want to accomplish?

Hope that helps,
