Alternate PHP Version

The server I'm working on has an outdated version of PHP. This server is shared by multiple users so the version cannot be updated without impact to other users. There is another version installed but is not set as the default version used by the web server. Has anyone accessed an alternate PHP version from within the php.ini configuration?

Hi Kevin,
It is possible to run different versions of PHP on the same server, but unfortunately, it can't be changed using php.ini. I know that this functionality is built into some hosting panel installations (cPanel, etc), so my first suggestion would be to check to see if there's a setting there that can be changed. If not, I would recommend consulting your hosting provider to see if they have any solutions.
