Hello,
Everything was working fine yesterday but just woke up this morning and saw the following message:
Hello, Website Visitors!
We are temporarily experiencinghigh website trafficor technical difficulties. Please try again later.
I am receiving this error:
The database error given was:
2002 - No such file or directory
Can someone please advise?

There are a number of posts that reference a similar issue
If you havent't yet, do a search on the forum for high website traffic
One of the first has a database connection test script from Dave Edis

Hi Jerry,
Thanks for the suggestion. It turned out that a plugin we had written caused MySQL to crash and so I just needed to disable the plugin and restart the MySQL server. All working now but the plugin clearly needs improving!
