Send email at specific time intervals

Hi
I want to send an email to each user, at a specific time interval (i.e. 6 months) after they have entered a record in the CMS.
I assume that I have to create an email draft through Admin > Outgoing Mail, but how will I make CMSB to check the date of record entering in the CMS and send it 6 months later?

Hi Andreas,
I've attached a reminder page that I use for a 6 month comparison that sends 2 reminder emails when the 6 months is approaching. I trigger a daily test with a cron job to see if 5 or 6 months has elapsed since the last time a member has logged in and hen take the appropriate action.
There are a number of recipes in the CMSB Cookbook on how to compare time and execute an action (send an email) if certain criteria are met.
