Missing WYSIWYG fields

My client's site, which is a couple of years old, is running CMSB v3.11, and they've noticed that the WYSIWYG fields aren't showing up (see attached).

The server is using PHP version 7.0.33.

Any suggestions, please?

Hi,

I know there have been upgrades to the wysiwyg code as well as all other areas of the core program.

It's fair to assume that the old code might not be compatible with some of the changes in PHP.

Is there a reason why you haven't upgraded your client's site since 2017?

The hosting company that my client is using has a habit of being a version or two behind with its PHP version. It's still on 7.0.33, whereas the most up-to-date version of CMSB requires 7.1+.

I think that you can update to 3.50 with that version of PHP. The note says: - This software version REQUIRES: PHP 5.6+ and MySQL 5.5+
- Future versions will require: PHP 7.1+

You may have to update some plugins, but see if they work as is first, because some have been updated to accommodate newer versions of PHP.

I have V3.50 if you need it, or I'm sure that IT can supply it.

That might get rid of your issues.

Hi CommonSenseDesign,

If you open the "Inspect" panel in Chrome (Ctrl-Shift-I), click on the "Console" tab, and reload the page that doesn't show the wysiwyg, does it show any javascript errors?
