Dears, i want to ask how can you change the Media Library upload folder, i need to set it outside the admin folder as i usually protect the admin folder using .hta access and i prefer to have the upload folder in root of the site the same way we can set the Upload settings

Sorry for the delay in responding. If you're still working on this, you can change the custom upload dir for media files here:
admin.php?menu=database&action=editField&tableName=_media&fieldname=media
