Permalinks Update Table feature doesn't update it

Updated A fabrics table with a field permalinks, externally using sql to append to all permalinks.
Gone to plugins permalinks to update the table and it has not done it, but not shown any errors.
went  back  to  fabrics  table  and  manually  saved,  the   permalinks  table  was updated for that record
I  don't  want  to  do  this  for  300  records
