Disable Edit (per user)

I'd like to stop a person editting a record if they didn't create it.

In fact, I'd be happy to stop the editting records full stop, but all I can seem to do, is stop them from deleting or adding.

Is there a way to do this?

I'm not sure that I understand completely, but in the user account section (I'm looking at version 1.27) take a look at setting the All Sections pull down menu to "By Section" and then choosing the "Author" restriction for the specific section that you want to restrict "Author" only access to.

The user will only be able to access those records that they authored.

Hi pothompson,

There's no functionality in the CMS to allow users to view but not modify records. You could create some viewers for that. What kind of site are you building?
