Wrong Flash file appearing

Hi, there.

I have a weird anomaly that is occurring in Internet Explorer, but I'm not sure if it's a CMSB issue or not.

I've used CMSB to upload a Flash banner ad - http://www.yallaf1.com/_ad_home.php - and it displays perfectly in Firefox and Safari. However, in IE a completely different Flash swf file shows up. The "incorrect" swf file was uploaded using FTP, not CMSB, and is stored in a different directory on the server.

Does anyone know why this is happening?

Cheers,

Hi Nigel.

Thanks for posting!

My first thought here is browser cache. Can you make sure you clear your cache in IE and then try again?

CMS Builder will display the same code for each page regardless of what browser you are using. Technically, CMS Builder doesn't actually know what browser you are using. All of its work is done before the browsers are involved.

Of course, after you clear your cache, perhaps check the source code to see if it's actually different in each browser.

Keep me up to date :).

Hi Nigel

That's really odd. I am not sure if I've ever seen something like that. The code when you view source looks correct but it's still loading the wrong file.

What happens when you go right to the flash file in your browser like this:

Let me know :).
