Files outside folder

I have two questions about installing CMS Builder on a non-linux/unix webhotel.

1. When installing CMS Builder, all files are inside a folde. Is it possible to keep it this way, but still have all the pages outside this folder? My hosting provider can only give me full rights to a specific folder in my webhotel, where I have to install “the machinery of my site”, but I would like to have the pages to be like www.webpage.com/index.php and not www.webpage.com/folder/index.php. Is this possible?

2. Also my webhotel does not have the PHP 'mbstring' extension. I have asked my hosting provider to install it. But if he can’t do that, is it possible to make CMS Builder working properly without this extension?

Hi,

Having mbstring is a requirement of CMSB. Your provider should be able to install it for you without much trouble. It may be as simple as them just enabling it for you.

Jerry's right, you don't have to have your website files inside the CMSB folders.

Hope this helps. Let me know if you run into any issues.
