cmsAdmin login not accepting username/password

No one has gone in and made any changes.
What is weird is that when we type in what we know is a proper username/password combination, no "error" sign saying "invalid username or password" pops up. When we knowingly type an incorrect combination we DO see that message.
It is either a strange bug or I'm worried we may have been hacked. Has anyone ever experienced this? How do I fix it?
Thanks,
Jeff

This isn't an issue that I have encountered before. Can you submit a 2nd Level Support Request so we can look into this further and find out what is happening:

I had changed file permissions to be writable on the data folder, sub folders and files but I think that was unrelated.
I will get back to you shortly with upgrade details.
Thanks!
