Photos with captions

I know that it's easy to add photos and display them with a caption by having an upload field. However, is it possible to import a photo in the midst of text - with a wysiwyg field - and have a caption underneath? Adding the picture wherever I want isn't a problem; having a caption under it is.

For a start, I don't see anywhere that I can type in a caption in CMSB. I could use a two-row table, but that's a bit of a cumbersome solution for my client.

Here's an example of the type of thing I'm trying to achieve, although this isn't a CMSB site: www.liberationgateway.com/tinfo_dr.php. And this is a design visual for the site that will be built around CMSB: www.commonsensedesign.net/extranet/globalmedelite/visuals/05-treatments-ct-overview-01a.shtml.

Hi Nigel,

I'm looking into the template plugin with TinyMCE:
http://www.tinymce.com/wiki.php/Plugin:template

This allows you to have predefined snippets of code to insert in the WYSIWYG editor.

Try it out on the demo here:
http://www.tinymce.com/tryit/full.php

You could use this to insert a default image and caption (with inline styling or classes) and then have the user replace the image/caption with what they want.

Does this sound like a workable solution?

Re: [Damon] Photos with captions

Hi, Damon.

This looks promising. I've never used TinyMCE before. Is it easy to integrate with CMSB?

Re: [Jason] Photos with captions

Thanks, Jason. I'm not at the development stage yet - still working on the design - but I'll be in touch when the time comes.
