Images do not display following server move

I've just moved a site to a different server. It's an 'add-on' site common on shared hosting. I haven't kicked the DNS over so it's essentially a developmental server at this point.

Images will upload fine to the 'cmsAdmin/uploads' folder, but do not display on either the public page or the insert thumbnails. Instead black X broken link icons are shown.

All the folder permissions are set correctly.

I'm sure this is a path statement problem in the General Settings area, but I have tried many combinations to no avail.

What information can I provide to troubleshoot this issue?

As always, thanks.

Hi Dave,

I checked the page here:
http://www.rutabagabrothers.com/rhubarbfestival.org/site/index.php

Here is one the broken images file paths which generates a 404 file not found error:

The image is actually located here:

Based on this, you need to update your Upload Directory and Upload Folder URL to match that.

Let me know if this works for you.

Hi Dave,

You shouldn't need to edit the HTML on the page to get the images to appear. The only changes needed should be in CMS Builder to the Upload Director and the Upload Folder URL fields.

Can you send in a Support Ticket so I can take a closer look and get the images working again:

Hey Damon ...

I'll bet the problem goes away when I change the DNS and the site resolves to its own domain. Go ahead and put this on hold while I do that and I'll let you know if there are continuing issues.

Thanks for your time. No sense wasting it if the problem goes away on its own.

Hi Dave,

I was discussing this with Ross yesterday and he was suggesting the same thing.

The one image you did update to display in the WYSIWYG editor will need to be updated to match the upload path as the other images.

Keep us posted and let us know right away if there are any other issues when the DNS goes through.

Thanks!
