Hi all,
My first step was to upload all of the files necessary to update from 3.51 to 3.55
Then when I went to the CMSB interface, I got the message that "InnoDB updated: redirecting". This is where the update process stalled.
I re-uploaded all the 3.55 files and tried again, but the process stalled in the same place.
The same thing happened on 2 out of 10 site upgrades I did tonight
One of the sites that had a problem was on a server that has 3 other successfully upgraded sites.
I was able to reinstall 3.51 on the sites that had a problem and hope someone has some thoughts on this.
Thanks,
Jerry Kornbluth

Hi Jerry,
Since v3.52 CMSB attempts to upgrade all of its MySQL tables from the "MyISAM" storage engine to "InnoDB" - it appears that something is preventing that conversion for a few of your sites, though it's difficult to know why exactly. The system should give you a clear error if InnoDB is not supported, and if other sites on the same server we able to upgrade successfully, there must be another cause.
My first recommendation would be to inspect the databases manually - you should be able to use phpMyAdmin to see the storage engine being used for each table. If you see any still using the "MyISAM" type, you can try to manually convert it to InnoDB from the table's Operations tab. If there's some incompatibility when converting, it should show an error message.
Let me know if you have any questions, or if you're able to find anything out!

Thanks for looking at this Daniel,
I'm really insecure about messing with databases.
Any chance I can get you guys to do it under paid support?
