I have a client site running v 2.53 that I would like to update to the latest version and I was wondering if there are special steps or considerations for such a large jump in versions. We will be doing everything on a local staging site before deploying to production.

Hi jasmar222,
Sure, no problem. Here are the steps:
- Follow the server move instructions here to set up your staging server: https://interactivetools.com/docs/cmsbuilder/move_servers.php
- And then, before you run the program, follow the upgrade instructions: https://interactivetools.com/docs/cmsbuilder/upgrade.php
- For any plugins that aren't working, get the latest version here: https://interactivetools.com/plugins/
If you happen to have any custom code or custom plugins on the site, we have instructions for updating them here: https://interactivetools.com/docs/how%20to%20upgrade%20from%20v2.txt
If you run into any issues, feel free to fill out a second-level support request, and we'll help you out: https://interactivetools.com/support/request/
Because CMS Builder logs errors, you can safely try the upgrade, test the site, and then check the developer log for any issues that may need resolving.
Hope that helps!
