Adding a New Editor
When you click Add New Editor at the top of CMS Setup > Database Editor, a modal appears where you choose a menu type and give the section a name. These are the available options.
Menu Type
Section titled “Menu Type”- Multi Record
Multi record menus can have many records and are for sections such as News, FAQs, Jobs, Events, Blog, etc.
- Single Record
Single record menus have only one record and are for single page sections such as About Us or Contact Us.
Pre-configured menus and fields for common website sections, chosen from the “<Select Preset>” dropdown: About Us, Bios, Blog, Contact, FAQs, Jobs, News, Products, and Quotes.
- Copy Existing Section
Creates a new section by copying the fields and settings of an existing section, chosen from the “<Select Existing Section>” dropdown.

Category menus let you organize records in a tree structure and are for creating website menus and navigation.
Menu groups let you create menu headers to group related menu options under.
Text links let you add an external link to your menu that looks the same as a regular menu item.
Menu Name
Section titled “Menu Name”The section name that is displayed in the program menubar.
Table Name
Section titled “Table Name”The database table name where section data is stored. Choose a short but meaningful name such as news, articles, or jobs. Singular table names (user not users) make related column names like user_num more intuitive.
Next Steps
Section titled “Next Steps”After selecting the section type and options, click Create New Menu. Your section is created immediately. You can make changes at any time through the “modify” option, including adding or removing fields and adjusting which fields are visible in record lists. See Editing a Section for details.
