Database Editor
Within CMS Setup > Database Editor, administrators can create, edit, and delete sections to personalize the CMS interface. The system includes numerous pre-configured sections (presets) available as starting templates for building a custom content management system.
Setting up a new menu requires minimal effort. Using the default options, it can be completed in just minutes.
Section List
Section titled “Section List”The list displays all currently configured sections, with columns for a selection checkbox, Drag, Menu Name, Menu Type, MySQL Table, Rows, Size, and Action. From here you can:
- Click “modify” to adjust a section
- Click “erase” to delete a section
- Click and drag the arrows to reorder sections
For single record, multi record, and category sections, the Menu Name links directly to that section. Sections hidden from the menubar are grayed out and marked “(hidden)”.
Clicking “erase” asks for confirmation and warns that all of the section’s data will be lost. The erase link is disabled for the built-in accounts and _media sections to prevent accidents.
Sections appear in the menubar in the same order shown in this list.
Drag to Re-order Sections
Section titled “Drag to Re-order Sections”Click and drag the arrow icons to rearrange sections. The menubar updates instantly to reflect the new ordering.
To move several sections at once, tick their selection checkboxes and drag one of them. The checked rows move together as a group. Shift-click selects a range of checkboxes, and the checkbox in the header row clears the current selection.
Add New Editor
Section titled “Add New Editor”The Add New Editor button in the top toolbar opens a modal where you select a menu type, then click Create New Menu. See Adding a Section Editor for details.
Your new section is created immediately. To make changes at any time (such as adding or removing fields, or modifying which fields display in the record list), click “modify”.
