1. CMS Builder v3.50 Released - FREE VERSION
CMS Builder 3.14 - new HTML5 uploader

We no longer require the "Powered By CMS Builder" footer on unlicensed versions. This effectively means you can use CMS Builder without paying a license fee and get all the same functionality as the paid version (except for private labeling). It's been a long time dream of ours to make CMS Builder available to as many people as possible and we're very grateful to all our clients and supporters who have made that possible. You can now use CMS Builder at no cost for as many projects as you like, and if you want to brand it as your own the "private-label" version is available with a purchased license.

4. Upcoming PHP 7 Requirements

As of the end of the year, PHP 5.6 and even PHP 7.0 are getting discontinued. That means they won't even get security updates. Accordingly, future versions of CMS Builder will require PHP 7.1 or better. So if you haven't yet upgraded your server, this is a great time of year to do it. Let us know if you need any help. Note: This isn't required for the current v3.50, but will be for future releases. The current version requires PHP 5.6.

See the list of supported PHP versions on PHP.net:

5. Skyscraper fundraiser update & picture: $3,600 raised!

As you may recall from our last newsletter, our founder and senior programmer, Dave was about to jump (rappel) off a 23 story building for charity. We're glad to announce that he made it down successfully and Dave and his team raised over $3,600 for kids with disabilities through Easter Seals.

Thank you so much to all of you who contributed to this campaign. It was a fun event and it made a huge difference.

Here's a picture of our fearless leader hanging off a building in downtown Vancouver.
